Chianti Classico IL GUERRINO

Chianti Classico Il Guerrino comes from a single historic vineyard located on a ridge overlooking Montefioralle, in a unique position defined by exposure, ventilation, and distinctive pedoclimatic conditions.
It is a wine produced exceptionally and in a single vintage only, 2022, as a tribute to and final testimony of a vineyard that had reached the end of its life cycle.

The grapes come from two small parcels of Sangiovese planted in the late 1930s. Old vines, trained in narrow rows and worked entirely by hand, with naturally very low yields. For many years, these grapes provided one of the most important components of our Riserva.

In 2022, the final harvest before uprooting and replanting, the Guerrino grapes were vinified separately in order to preserve their identity and fix their memory in bottle. The result is a Chianti Classico of great character, authentic and unrepeatable.
The label itself deliberately recalls the historic graphic design once used by the Taddei/Loretelli family.

Production is extremely limited: approximately 300 bottles, obtained through a dedicated vinification and aging in a single barrique.
Il Guerrino is a wine that favors depth, tension, and balance, expressing Sangiovese in its most essential and site-driven form.

This is not a wine style intended to be replicated over time: Il Guerrino exists only in the 2022 vintage.
